Established in 1926, the Indian School of Mines is one of India's premier technical institutions.
Originally founded as the Indian School of Mines to cater to the mining industry, it has evolved into IIT ISM Dhanbad, offering world-class education in engineering, technology, and management. The institution has produced thousands of successful alumni who have made significant contributions across various industries globally.

The ISMAA Bengaluru Chapter is established with the following core objectives to serve our alumni community and contribute to society:
To provide a forum for Bangalore based Alumni to connect with each other and foster strong relationships within our community.
To foster a strong bond with the Institute and offer support to ISM/IIT chapters across different locations.
To provide professional networking among alumni by organizing lectures, debates, seminars and conducting sessions on diverse topics of expertise.
To guide and mentor Bangalore based Alumni entrepreneurs in their pursuit of creating valuable products and services pertaining to their area of expertise.
To promote friendship and welfare amongst the members and to provide funding through contributions by members for volunteering activities.
To help needy students of all communities at the Institute to pursue their studies through various support mechanisms.
To engage and assist in philanthropic activities as may be deemed appropriate by the Governing Body of the society, contributing to the broader community welfare.
Through these objectives, ISMAA Bengaluru Chapter strives to create a lasting impact on our alumni community, the institute, and society at large. We believe in the power of collective effort and shared values to achieve meaningful progress.
